What a shame!

We often have meetings with a branch in Belgium. Their mother's tongue is Dutch or French, but they are surely better at manipulating English in the tel-conference. Recently, there has been a gap in future business plan between headquaters and the branch, and somehow I was put into the toil to solve the issues. Now I am collecting various opinions from both sides, but the slightest air of opposition causes endless excuses from them. Particularly, I'm thrown into confusion when Belgian people talk in rapid succession. How can I respond to them in English, being untalkative even in Japanese! ...Sigh... How miserable! Mortified. However, only what I can do is study steadily.
